July FUN!

What a difference a day makes!  We had a great, long Independence Day weekend - it's always a treat to have a whole extra day to play and explore.
We went to an awesome park to play (Overton Park, no pictures but you should go if you're in B'ham, as it is completely enclosed for maximum toddler roam-age),
Reid got lots of practice on his Hiawatha Halloween costume (cherry juice makes a great face paint),
Teddy had some awesome airplane rides,

we acquired a new potty for the Reidster (still a novelty and not actually being used in the proper context), ate ribs and corn and watermelon and "be bes" (blueberries),

and had not one but TWO playdates with Adelaide (sprinkler time Thursday afternoon and then 4th of July fun.

This pictures says "American Gothic meets toddlers with crackers"

Engaging in their signature move, throwing themselves to the floor and laughing hysterically at one another (also please take note of the blackberry stained hands in both pictures above - the kids can flat eat some fruit).

We rounded out the weekend with a lazy Sunday and I just had to share this curious picture with Reid.  If you are a long-time blog reader you know Reid love his shoes and I noticed a flurry of activity at one point and walked into the den to find this arrangement.  Nice work, buddy!  Do you see the proud smile on his face?  Precious.
